In the wake of constant news coverage depicting the horrible violence which our troops face on a daily basis in Iraq in the name of a war whose purpose is very much in dispute, and a headline which screams, “Two Men Charged in Pa. Child’s Shooting,” these events were overshadowed by a breast.
On the second floor of the Ettinger building, through which I'm sure we have all passed at some point in our careers here at Muhlenberg, there is a small library of books and references on Jewish History. It’s the Lehigh Valley Jewish Archives and Holocaust Resource Center (HRC), founded in 1982 by former Director Ned Shulman.
To the Editor: Imagine my surprise as I watched Fox News the other night as the Muhlenberg logo flashes up on the screen, and the ensuing story describes a faculty “vote” against the Patriot Act. Imagine my further surprise when it is mentioned that the leaders of this “vote” admitted to never having read the Patriot Act.
To The Editor: I feel compelled to respond to the article which appeared in the Weekly on February 12, 2004, regarding events at the Student Council Meeting. The described behavior was appalling. Appropriate action is being taken to ensure that this type of behavior will not be repeated.
As much as students like to attend on-campus events like this week’s hypnotist and as much as seniors like to frequent local bars on senior pub nights, those students who reside in dorms occasionally feel the itch to socialize indoors in the confines of comfort and pajamas.
To the Editor: After the recent performance of Justincase at Muhlenberg, the band wanted to express their sincere appreciation for the efforts of all people involved in putting the event together! We arrived at your school very excited to perform a rare acoustic show in an intimate setting at the Red Door Caf.
