The discussion ranged from advocacy to energy conservation last week as the College students and faculty listened to former Governor of New Jersey and U.S. Representative James "Jim" Florio share his experiences as a politician. Listeners filled Moyer on Feb.
Feb. 20 - Fire Alarm Sounding - A fire alarm went off in Seegers Union because Plant Operations was replacing the ceiling tile. Feb. 20 - Theft - A stereo was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 2500 block on Liberty Street. There are no suspects at this time.
On Tues., Feb. 26 students, faculty, and staff were invited to the Red Door for drinks, snacks, and good conversation. Students who were 21+ were served alcoholic beverages. This was the second "chill" event of the '07-'08 academic year. The event had a good turn out and students expressed their appreciation for the coordination of these events.
While many students are packing their things to head off to exotic locations for their Spring Break, there are a number of students at the College that have decided to do something a little different. Instead of going to the beaches in Florida and the Caribbean, the Religious Life Office of the College, which includes Chapel, Newman and Hillel, has put together five alternative options for the upcoming week.

Whether deemed the "Brown Bag Lunch Series" or "Lunch and Learn", organizations such as Hillel, the Multicultural Center, and the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Community have been employing this concept to encourage informal discussions about relevant topics.
