Candidates prepare for the first debate

The first Presidential debate between John McCain and Barack Obama is this Friday. At first glance, a Democrat should feel confident with their candidate who is noted for his oratory skills and ability to inspire people with his words. On the other hand, a Republican could be concerned because of their candidate's propensity to squint at the teleprompter and talk in a dull, monotonous tone.

It always seems to happen somewhere else. We can feel sorry, empathetic and solemn, but every time a school shooting takes place, it never quite hits home because it didn't happen right in front of our faces. But take it from us, it can come pretty darn close.

Looking back at last season's premiere of Grey's Anatomy, in my opinion, the actors, storylines, and writing were all tired. George and Izzie were grappling with their affair (gross), Meredith and Derek started having "breakup sex" (what is that?), and Christina was nursing her wounds after Burke's decision to leave (finally).

Pep band ready to kick off another season

The Muhlenberg College Pep Band has been entertaining athletes and spectators at various college sporting events since its establishment in the Fall of 2005. After being founded by Matt Fash '09, with the help of Jeff Levy '09, Mike Fau '09, and Justin LaPlante '09, the Pep Band has grown and thrived.

Sarah Palin: bad for the Jews

Senator John McCain chose Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate and possible successor. During President Bush's reign, Dick Cheney has had tremendous influence over the White House. It would would be frightening if Palin took over for McCain, because Palin has no foreign policy experience, and would be terrible for America's Jews and Israel.
