As if you needed the update, only one more day until Spring Break! To The Weekly: Contained somewhere in the middle of Alex Breiding's recent column ("Students for Workers' Rights" Feb. 25), are principles with which I hope we all can agree: all workers "have a right to respect and dignity at work, fair wages, affordable healthcare, and the ability to organize and bargain collectively in order to secure these rights.
Feb. 18, was a chilling day in American history. This was the day that Joe Stack flew his plane into a building that housed an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) office. Stack's sinister attack has raised concerns about terrorism, air security, and a growing threat posed by anti-government and anti-tax groups.
We all have our biases; I will be the first to admit it. I judge people by what they wear, how they walk, and how they talk. But I will also be the first to admit that I have been proven wrong and I am happy when I get proven wrong as it hopefully changes what I think about that person or a particular group of people.

Let me first state that I am all for women's sports. I believe that they deserve every opportunity that men's sports receive. However, there comes a time when you have to look at the lack of competition in that was displayed in women's hockey during the Winter Olympics and make an educated decision.
