To the Editor:
Imagine my surprise as I watched Fox News the other night as the Muhlenberg logo flashes up on the screen, and the ensuing story describes a faculty “vote” against the Patriot Act.
Imagine my further surprise when it is mentioned that the leaders of this “vote” admitted to never having read the Patriot Act.
And, imagine my complete surprise to learn that Muhlenberg Faculty members have the time to discuss this topic, months after the rest of the country learned that not one person or organization, has filed a complaint about even one instance when personal freedoms were abridged by the Patriot Act.
I can only assume that our Muhlenberg faculty has been so busy doing their jobs, that they are only just now learning about this Act.
I compliment them on their dedication to their duty. Now, I ask them to return to that duty, and stop being so foolish.
