This semester, the members of Cystic Fibrosis on Campus (CFC) have decided to focus on awareness of Cystic Fibrosis and fundraising to benefit Cystic Fibrosis research. The organization will be having a spare change drive that will be used to signify how far the efforts of members of the College community can go. Donation jars will be located at tables in Seegers Union and at Java Joes.

A milk and cookie and guitar hero night will kick off Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Week on Mon., Nov. 5. Each cookie will be accompanied by a fact about Cystic Fibrosis. Tuesday, the movie Alex the life of a child, a made-for-television movie about a girl with Cystic Fibrosis will be shown. Wednesday night there will be a Cystic Fibrosis benefit concert in the lobby of Seegers Union. On Friday the coins and cash collected throughout the week will be changed into pennies and used to line Academic Row along with facts about the disease.

All money raised throughout the week will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation."Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Week is our way of getting the word out about Cystic Fibrosis, educating people, and getting information into the heads of students at the College. We're looking forward to a fun and successful week ahead," said Joe Armenti '10, CFC President.
