Ahh, Thanksgiving (contented sigh). A time to go home, eat, relax, and if you're like us, work like madmen.

And of course, it is a time to give thanks. This year, the executive board would like to thank our extremely supportive and efficient staff. Over the years, writers, editors, and photographers have come and gone, but we have to say that our current staff is without a doubt one of the most dedicated and intelligent that any of the seniors have worked with.

Just minutes ago, an editor panicked because we hit the 8:00 mark. We are spoiled by the quality of our staff, and have become accustomed to turning off the office lights at 10:00 p.m. We have heard horror stories of past production nights carrying into the wee hours of the morning, but have not, thankfully, experienced any all-nighters yet (knock on wood).

We are fortunate to work with a complete staff, for once. We actually have a copy editor to catch every tipoe (only kidding), multiple editors per section, and committed writers. It is a relief not playing the part of writer, photographer, and editor, all wrapped up in one.

Equally important is the camaraderie. Our staff gets along almost strangely well, and production nights are anything but dull. In our tiny blue office that always faintly smells of Chinese food, we have recently reinstated the "quote wall," which features some of the most brilliant statements ever uttered by the editors. For example: "Well I didn't make up anything I put in here." Another gem…courtesy of sleep deprivation: "I'd visited my older brother while he was here studying at MuhlenEvan S. Jaffeeberg, so I knew the territory."

We routinely and oh-so-subtly change each other's Facebook pages, and spend maybe more time than we should joking around and pretending to edit. But this is not to say that we do not get the job done. We just have a little fun along the way.

We can't believe we are wrapping up one of the final issues of the semester. We are so thankful for the now-familiar faces in The Weekly office we see every Tuesday from 3:00-10:00 p.m. Enjoy your time with your family, and safe travels. But above all, eat, sleep, and gear up for finals! Ugh.
