An Unknown Impact

For college seniors, all thoughts are centered around one singular question: what am I going to do with my life?
Suddenly, seniors begin to question all of the decisions that they have made throughout their time here at Muhlenberg. Did I choose the right major? Am I going to get into graduate school? Will I ever be able to make money and have a career?
While these are all perfectly valid concerns that college students face, one student has decided to be a remember that these are not the only thoughts we need be consumed with. Instead of being entirely focused on the question "What am I going to do with my life?" We must remind ourselves of the moments and the people that make life worth living.
In an effort to remind her fellow students of the greater picture, Senior Laura Sukonick, has created a project that she hopes will resonate with all people. She is collecting stories about random acts of kindness.
What she is looking for are stories about instances where a stranger or someone unexpected left a huge impact on another person by going out of his or her way to help.
The giver does not have to be a complete stranger, but they cannot be someone that the storyteller had a close relationship with. She invites anyone to submit their story, and additionally, a letter to that person, who must remain unnamed, explaining how and why their gesture made such a difference.
All submissions may also be done anonymously. Laura says that, "she simply aims to remind people of the difference they are capable of making to their fellow human beings, and the fact that most of the time they do not even realize the impact they have."
Laura hopes to eventually publish these stories, but for the time being she is planning on creating an online blog that would be accessible to anyone. More information regarding how to access these stories will be given at a later date.
To submit a story, or find out more information, e-mail Laura Sukonick at ls234991@muhlenberg.edu.
